How To Apply 3rd Party Themes in MIUI for Unlocked Devices


Welcome to another amazing post. Today I have the solution for the users who have unlocked their Mi devices and are unable to install 3rd party Mi themes even after having a designer account.

I know after updating to MIUI 9 many users are facing this problem. This is because Xiaomi has restricted the installation of all 3rd party themes even if you are a theme designer. Earlier Miui Theme Editor helped in solving this issue but now its also not working 100%. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.

So, I am here with the all new working method to install and use all 3rd party themes on your existing Mi devices. It is working in almost all Mi Devices. Just Check out the requirements.

Requirements: Unlocked Bootloader, Custom recovery installed (TWRP, ZCX, Redwolf or any other), The fix , Lazy Flasher and a couple of seconds to spare.

Procedure:
  1. Install any custom recovery for your device if not installed.
  2. Download the files given below.
  3. Copy the files to the internal memory using any file manager.
  4. Reboot to the recovery mode by pressing vol+ and power button together.
  5. After booting just Tap on Install.
  6. Find the fix you just downloaded and tap on it.
  7. Now simply SWIPE TO FLASH the fix.
  8. After that Flash the Lazy Flasher in the same way.
  9. Tap on wipe caches.
  10. Finally Tap on reboot system.
  11. Voila!!!! Now you can install any 3rd party themes in your device.
