[Epic ROM] MIUI 10 8.9.20 7.0 Redmi Note 3 Pro(Snapdragon) and SE

Today I am proudly presenting the update of EPIC ROM for our beloved Redmi Note 3 Pro aka KENZO. The ROM is based on Nougat (7.0).
The ROM is super stable and can be used as a daily driver. For better and thorough details about the features of this ROM kindly read below. Do spend some time reading the EPIC ROM features. Its worth reading all that. In the end of the introduction I will say that follow the guide properly and GOOD LUCK.

Requirements: Bootloader must be officially unlocked [(Not responsible for getting your device bricked with the unofficial bootloader unlock) didn't tried that so sorry for that] ,Redwolf or OrangeFox TWRP recovery, Epic ROM, My Instructions, Patience.

- No need to use lazy flasher
- Fingerprint in applock and other third party apps requiring unlocking does not work when you unlock your device with face. Just lock your device and unlock with fingerprint to fix this.
FIX AVAILABLE BELOW TO UNLOCK DIRECTLY WITH FINGERPRINT ON REBOOT. - Camera2api is disabled to make sure ViLTE works perfectly. It can be enabled easily from build.prop but ViLTE will not work.
- Don't forget to update Mi Apps from Mi App Store.
Bugs:
- Maadhaar is still not working even after safety net is passed.
- Some of you may face the problem of installing APK's from default file manager so use MiXplorer to install apps. Already pre-installed so no issues.
- If there is no weather shown on desktop weather widget then restore the backup using Titanium Backup. Weather Widget fix.

Installation Steps
- Download and Flash TWRP recovery [Redwolf or OrangeFox].
- Download the ROM from the link below.
- Copy the file to your Internal/ SD card/ OTG.
- Boot into TWRP.
- Go to Wipe > Advanced Wipe.
- Wipe System, Data ,Cache, Dalvik Cache.
- Go back.
- Go to install and flash the ROM file.
- Wipe caches.
- Finally Reboot System.
- It takes some time for first boot. So do not worry.
- Complete initial setup.
- Reboot to recovery and flash Battery Capacity FIX and enjoy the new Epic ROM.
- Other patches are optional and you can flash them as per the need.

Battery Capacity FIX [It will fix the battery capacity of the ROM to 4000 mAh]
Patch [It will remove face unlock. Added new option in Lockscreen & password/ Fingerprint Unlock After Reboot. Enable it and you can unlock your device after reboot directly with fingerprint without unlocking it with pin/ password or pattern.]
Note: After flashing patch, choose reboot system in recovery. When the device comes to bootanimation just do a force reboot by holding the power button.
480 DPI and Camera2api patch [Only for those who want to use MIUI stock rom DPI, Camera2api is also enabled.]
Stock MIUI Call UI Patch [It will make Call UI like Stock MIUI with small avatar and Avatar on top of Call Info.]

My Humble Request: Kindly do not ask for update, I will provide it when I feel I have enough time to build a ROM. Do not update system launcher you will lose miuipro features. So update the apps accordingly.

ReplyDeleteHi, mate, thank you for your roms, actually I stuck on installing your fw. Installed redwolf recovery, wiped just like you said, but it is booting long time now, more than 20 minutes, is that OK. I was expecting something closer to 10 minutes

DeleteI mean this rom is working good for me, i have tested it before publishing, kindly try using orangefox recovery.
Using this rom from a week and its6 way too smooth as fluid. There's not even a single bug, just like the official MIUI. Performance is great is and with some tweaks you'l get a good battery too. I'll hardly recommend this rom as the developer has done a great work over here.

ReplyDeleteTry flashing escrima kernal from TWRP and fp works fine bro just do not unlock via pattern/ pin / password. I have added the patch with the help of which you can unlock the phone directly with fingerprint after reboot.
