How to Fix the Region Issue 😎 BY ME

Hello All,Welcome to our blog. Have you ever got an issue in your device after flashing any custom ROM in your Mi device that the region gets set to CHINA or POLAND and you cannot use the MIUI customization for INDIA.
Well.............................. I have finally solved this issue. 
No need to flash any ZIP File, no need to use Mi Flash Tool to install the new Fastboot ROM to fix the region issue.

So, now you are getting eager to know about the fix. 
Only 1 Requirement to get this issue fixed and that is your device must be rooted.
This fix is for India Only.

 OK Lets see how to fix this issue. Just follow the below steps carefully.
  1. Download and Install ES File Explorer.
  2. Download the .rar file given below.
  3. Open ES File Explorer and Turn on Root Explorer under Tools menu.
  4. Go to Device under Local menu.
  5. Open cust folder.
  6. Extract the zip and copy the contents to /cust folder and overwrite the contents.
  7. Set the permissions as seen in screenshots.
  8. Reboot your device.
  9. Voila!!!!!!!!!!! Now your region is changed back to India.
  10. Please let me know if it worked for you 😎.
  11. Or simply Download the flashable zip file and flash it using TWRP recovery.
How to set the permissions
  1. Select the folder / file whose permission you want to change by clicking and holding it.
  2. Click More button or 3 dots menu.
  3. Then choose properties .
  4. Click on Change button in front of permissions.
  5. Set the permissions and click on OK button.

      Hic. The region Indian worked for my Redmi Note 3 phone. But the region Vietnam you gave not working. I choose Region Vietnam in Region setting but it back to Poland. Please help me. Tks.

      After moving the files do not go to Additional settings and change the region. It will be changed automatically and it will be permanent. It works. I have tested it.

      Its easy, first of all delete the files you put in the cust folder and download the Vietnam fix files, copy the files you have downloaded to cust and set the permissions as shown above. After that just reboot your device. I tested it again and its working fine. Follow the guide properly, it will definitely work for you.

      Ok if you don't have a cust folder create in the root directory. Give the following permissions to the newly created cust folder-- drwxrwx--x(read first 2, write first 2 and execute first 3) using es file explorer and follow the steps mentioned above.

      You device must be rooted to fix this issue. And for the flashable zip it is currently not stable for miui. I'm trying to fix it.

    Not working...plz help...I didn't have a customer folder so I created one with drwxrwx--x permission...and then copied the contents into that folder and changed the permissions as shown...and then rebooted the phone....it didn't work...same thing happening.....also cust folder got deleted...

    Its really amazing and godjob bro,im already try your tricks but ive combine that with miui region fix zip file..so that was more be perfectly cuz region setting wont be permanent:
    1. After do all your steps,im turnoff device to recovery mode.
    2. Im flashing(install) zip file which im already download from http://en.miui.com/thread-1469560-1-1.html
    3. Reboot device again.
    4. Now i can see my region can be adjust to more country and theme region was actually set on it.

      Create the folder if you didn't find one. If after creating the folder and following the above method worked do tell me. In extreme case if that didn't worked do mail me using the contact us button, I will definitely help you. :)

      Root is required to fix the issue permanently. Using the flashable zip may set your region for some time but it gets reverted.

      No need to do so, just keep in mind that whenever you install or update rom do not wipe cust in TWRP. Your region will be permanent.

    I am trying to copy the files to apply the Spain fix. But there is no cust folder on "./"
    I create the folder, and copy the files. I change the permissions to the files. Then when I reboot, "cust" folder I created have dissapeared. So nothing work for me. Any clue?
